Banksy's "The Antics Roadshow"

Although I am not a huge Banksy fan, his show that was televised on BBC was creative, clever, entertaining and somewhat educational (as expected from Banksy).  So if you have an hour or so, watch it! (dont mind the intro, starts around 0:55) -

UPDATE - Looks like this video has been removed...

'Videotape' by Radiohead x 2006 footage = Music Video

Title - Videotape
About - Highway 74

A little about the video - Highway 74 is a road that is more than a pathway that travels through the San Bernardino National Forest to the Palm Springs area.  It is a path full of memories, experiences and adventures that will last a lifetime.  You will experience a portion of what it was like to ride through this route on a race-ready Suzuki GSX-R600.  (The video is fast-paced and shot through one perspective so no fancy angles and shots, just riding, so be prepared!)  My intention is to simply show all that Highway 74 offers.  For me, this portion of the route is not about the speed, but the ride.  I intend to create additional videos that document portions of this route to not only show the change in scenery from pines to palms, but also to show how the road transforms from small twisty turns to more high speed long leaned-over sweeping turns (my favorite by the way and thats where the need for speed kicks in).  These videos will be developed mainly for my pleasure, but thought I'd share a little of my history and life.  So in time I'll put together a small series of great music + riding that will highlight portions of this unforgettable journey.

Highway 74 passes through many parks and National Forests along its route and was signed as Route 74 since the establishment of state routes in 1934.  While I never really took photos of the scenery I saw nearly every Sunday for a few years, I must encourage those who love to drive, ride or those adventurous individuals to make a date with this road at least once in your life.  You will not be disappointed.  Of course there are plenty of beautiful, scenic and twisty canyon highways all over the financially troubled State of California, but Highway 74 is one of my all time favorites.

Pines to Palms Highway.  A route that  will forever be remembered and serve as a distant but passionate memory of a life once lived.

This Radiohead song is one of my favorites and is fitting for many reasons.  The first lyrics are a perfect example of one reason, among other portions.  I also like the contrast between fast video with the slow brain-soothing sounds of Radiohead, so just watch and listen.

Thanks to my cousin for helping create this video and bringing an idea of mine to life.

Bowl for 2

A short video about the connections we make with our canine companions.  I put this together from a couple minutes of video.  I'm not a video pro, but I do enjoy making videos from time to time.  No dog smoked a bowl during the making of this video.

sorry - had to remove the video, it was not functioning the way I would have liked...I'll get it posted shortly or when I return...ok, heres the link

Blackbook graffiti pieces from '98-'99

Heres a couple blackbook graffiti pieces from back in the day. I'm not gonna go too far back right now, but just enough. This was when I wrote Jade.  Theres two reasons why I like the name Jade.  I liked being able to write it different ways (Jade, Jaed, Jaid, Jayd) and the other was what I considered at the time to be a term used when one smokes a green cigarette all to themself and from that point on you were not blunted of course, you were J'd.   And maybe you've even been "J'd" at one point in your life...

Hmm.  With that said, on to the pics...

I'm glad I still have this blackbook cause it's a little art history and brings back lots of old memories
